I don't know any family that loves artichokes like the Boltons do. In the US, artichokes can be very expensive (even small, little puny ones). In France, they are huge and CHEAP! For dinner one night, Matthew and I had artichokes for dinner. They were the biggest ones I have ever seen, and they only cost 0,99 euros (or about $1.30)! Here is a picture of the artichoke. I put it beside a coke can for comparison.
